Capo Schiso (Cape Schiso), the south extremity of Naxos Bay, lies a few kilometres south of Capo Taormina. Born from the last eruption of Etna Volcano, the black lava stones give an unreal underwater scenario. Several pinnacles rise on the rocky plateau, from 5 meters to 18 meters, where the drop-off begins. Here you can find some white gorgonian fans. The pinnacles are home to countless schools of anthias and many species of other fish. Little caves and crevices are inhabited by groupers and moray eels. On the sandy areas you can observe stingrays, scorpion fish and octopus. Easy dive for beginners and you can start your dive from the boat or from shore.
