The shoal of Catarratta is another jewel in the bay of Tonnara, a little more challenging than the Secca di Cala Rossa. With 20 meter as its shallowest point and as big as Cala Rossa; it offer plenty of different dive paths, each with its peculiarities: The stacks of sea fans, the wall of lobsters and the ancorone.

The whole shoal however is spread between 20 and 40 meters, meeting large pelagic fish such as snapper and amberjack as well as sedentary fish such as a couple of large groupers. This shoal also has a colony of Gerardia Savaglia (false black coral) in between lots of paramuricea.
