Atlantis Bay takes its name from the nearby hotel first in the coast of Taormina. Start in a small rocky lagoon, where the slope descends away from shore with the reef wall starting on your right side. Dive to the left, where the reef table swings wide into a steep wall dive with pinnacles and dramatic rock formations, always keep one eye fixed on the blue as you will often see groupers and eagle rays swimming around. The bay was an ancient Greek harbour with common night anchorage of Greek war ships. The Atlantis bay is extremely sheltered and diving conditions are good in all weather.
