As not many divers know that the Greek Temple is located at the center of Naxos Bay, it offers a view of pure ancient atmosphere. Here, you can find about fifty-six columns and pieces of white marble stone, as a part of a ship load that sank in the third century before Christ. The wreck was never found due to the strong currents inside the Sicilian channel.
Entry by boat; descends over the gradual sandy slope and divers will find that they are surrounded instantaneously by a huge bank of sand. All kinds of starfish, anemone fish, anthias, and many more live in this place. For micro divers, nudibranches are often seen here including Spanish dancers and the giant orange pigatchu. This dive site is perfect for photography being beautiful at all depths with a surprising wealth of life between the loads of columns! Ascending and your safety stop are done by hanging in the anchor line which has been thrown out from the boat.
